Ball Survivors · Field manual

BESTIARY

Four enemies. Each one exists to break a different way of playing. Here is what each does, and what to do about it.

Not new enemies

RANKS

Both of these are the four above, rescaled. Nothing in here behaves in a way the roster has not already told you about.

Not a separate enemy. Any of the four can roll elite from 1:15 onward, up to about 8% of spawns by 8:00.

NORMAL
ELITE
  • It behaves exactly like the normal version. An elite charger still plants and strobes, an elite spitter still stops to shoot. Nothing new is added, so nothing new is needed.
  • Hold the right thumb on it. At 6x health your ball drifts onto whatever spawns closer and it never quite dies.
  • It is SLOWER than its base type and worth 5x the XP, so kiting one while you clear the wave pays for itself.

Not a fifth creature. It is one of the four you already know at four times the size, and you get exactly three per run.

5:00CHARGER
10:00SPITTER
15:00CHARGER
  • Same behaviour as the enemy it is built from. The boss charger closes on you slower, but the dash still comes in at full charger speed. Do not read a slow approach as a slow dash.
  • Hold the right thumb on it. Your ball shoots whatever is nearest, and that is never the health bar you need to move.
  • Every normal counter still works. PULSE knocks it out of a wind-up and now shoves you clear as it fires, and the wrecks still eat a boss spitter's shots. A committed dash still ignores your Chill Field.
  • The 15:00 one lands at about 12,000 health once the run's health growth is factored in.
